Quintessentially British, our Afternoon loose tea is delicately refreshing with invigorating citrus notes. We think this brew is best savoured around 3pm (with a Cornish cream tea, of course!) – but it is equally as delicious at any time of the day. Loose leaf afternoon tea is a delicious blend of hand-plucked Cornish Tea from Tregothnan and the finest Darjeeling Tea from the gardens of India, renowned for creating ‘the champagne of teas’.

Ingredients

Loose-leaf afternoon tea is a light and exotic blend of unique hand-plucked leaves from our Cornish estate with the finest tea from Darjeeling (Tregothnan’s twin).

Contents

Each box contains 14 individually sealed Afternoon loose tea pouches for ultra freshness, meaning your last serving of tea will be as fresh as your first! We have measured the perfect quantity of loose-leaf Afternoon Tea and sealed in the ‘bush to cup’ freshness into airtight foil pouches.

Brewing Instructions

Easy to brew, just open the pouch and pour the contents into your tea infuser.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
