1. Our Commitment
At Tregothnan, we believe in conducting our business with integrity, fairness, and respect for the dignity and rights of all individuals. As a family-owned British estate with a global reach, we are committed to upholding and promoting human rights across all aspects of our operations.
We align our actions with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and support the principles outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Fundamental Conventions.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All employees and workers of Tregothnan
- Contractors, suppliers, and partners who work with or on behalf of Tregothnan
- Any operations, whether on-site at our estate or throughout our supply chain
3. Key Principles
We are committed to the following principles:
a. No Forced or Child Labour
We do not tolerate any form of forced, bonded, or child labour. We require our suppliers and partners to do the same.
b. Freedom of Association
We respect the rights of workers to join or form trade unions and to bargain collectively.
c. Fair Wages and Working Conditions
We provide fair compensation, safe and hygienic working conditions, and reasonable working hours in accordance with applicable laws and standards.
d. Equality and Non-Discrimination
We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind, whether based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
e. Respectful Workplace
We promote a culture of respect and dignity, free from harassment, intimidation, or abuse.
4. Our Supply Chain
We expect our suppliers and partners to share our commitment to human rights and ethical practices. All vendors are subject to due diligence processes, and we reserve the right to terminate relationships with those who violate our principles.
5. Raising Concerns
Any individual, whether employee or third party, may raise concerns about human rights violations anonymously and without fear of retaliation by contacting our management team directly at ethics@tregothnan.co.uk.
6. Monitoring and Accountability
We regularly review our operations and supply chains for human rights risks. Any breach of this policy may lead to disciplinary action or termination of contracts.
