14TIN-LEM

One of Tregothnan’s best-selling infusions, this tisane is made from cut Lemon Verbena leaves to give a wonderfully rich lemon scent and piquant taste when infused. 14 individual servings of this lovely chunky herb are simply dried and packed for the best freshness and zesty flavour.
This infusion’s many health benefits include it working as an antidepressant, expectorant, nerve tonic, and digestive aid. Tregothnan make no such medical claims but we do urge you to simply enjoy its zingy fresh flavour.
The perfect after dinner digestif, Lemon Verbena can also be added to other teas to add a hint of lemon and a subtle sweet spicy bite – particularly divine with our Green Tea or indeed a pot of Earl Grey to make a lovely Lady Grey Tea.

Ingredients

Pure English Lemon Verbena from the Tregothnan gardens in Cornwall. This tisane is naturally caffeine-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Brewing instruction

Add your desired amount of loose leaf tea into the metal infuser of the teapot – we recommend a heaped teaspoon for each person and an extra spoonful for the teapot! Place the infuser into the teapot. Infuse for 5 minutes depending on how strong you like your infusion.
Remove the infuser – the leaves will have expanded to three times their original size. If you would like further cups once the teapot is empty, simply replace the infuser with the same tea leaves and add more water.
The perfect after-dinner digestive, Lemon Verbena can also be added to other teas to add a hint of lemon and a subtle sweet spicy bite – particularly divine with our Green Tea or indeed a pot of Earl Grey to make a lovely Lady Grey Tea.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
