The very first tea we created is a delicious blend of hand-plucked Cornish Tea from Tregothnan and the finest Assam Tea from India.

Brewing Instructions

To brew our Classic Tea Sachets, use filtered or bottled water just off the boil. Brew for 2 to 4 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea – we recommend 3 minutes of steeping time before tasting.

Origins

Classic Tea is the first-ever tea produced on British soil in 2005, which makes it our longest-serving tea blend.

It's British!

Never entered anyone's head years ago that the British could grow tea in the U.K. I have drunk this tea for some time now and visited. Just the right strength with deep flavour.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
