All tea is made from the dried, processed leaves and buds of the Camellia Sinensis bush and Tregothnan is pleased to offer you the opportunity to buy the same plants from our Estate in Cornwall as we use to make the Single Estate Tea which comes as part of the gift set. This gift set comes with Tregothnan’s Single Estate Black Tea Gift caddy, using leaves which have been oxidised before drying to give a deeper flavour whilst maintaining the tea’s delicate Darjeeling-like flavour.
Tregothnan’s baby tea bushes are 1-2 years old and come wrapped in hessian and Tregothnan ribbon. The tea-producing bush has dark green, thick leaves and produces delicate white blossoms. The finest tea is made from the top two leaves and bud of each of the plant’s shoot. Using other plucked leaves from the sprig will produce a stronger, tasting brew.
Complete with detailed care notes and a message card if required.

Picking the finest tea

Unlike tea bushes supplied as seedlings, this plant has been nurtured from a cutting and will happily grow in the correct conditions. ’.
