Tregothnan Green Tea ticks all the boxes – it is rich in health benefits as well as having an incredible flavour. Our tea grows in inimitable conditions in Cornwall and is from the same type of bushes as those from which Green Tea was first discovered in China. The process of creating black teas varies here, as oxidisation is replaced by steaming so the fresh leaves retain their natural green colour.
Green tea contains powerful antioxidants that help fight illness plus nutrients such as vitamins and minerals. It can relieve the feeling of fatigue, boost the immune system, reduce cholesterol levels, and reports show that it can also help you lose weight. It also removes toxins from the body naturally and safely.

Ingredients

A delicious blend of Cornish Tea leaves from Tregothnan and the finest Green Tea from China. This tea is dairy-free, gluten-free, and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Brewing instruction

Use water just of the boil, and brew for 2 to 4 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea. We recommend 3 minutes of steeping time before tasting.
Green Tea should be served without milk and can be sweetened with honey or sugar to taste.

A delicate flavour, which is very pleasant as most green teas taste like grass clippings. A nice little tin so that I can order just a packet in future.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
