The first ever tea produced on British soil, our Classic Tea is our longest-serving and best-loved tea blend. It was first harvested from our tea gardens in Cornwall in 2005. A quintessentially English tea recipe, our Classic Tea is blended with premium Assam leaves to give it the bold flavour synonymous with a strong, classic English tea.

Ingredients

A delicious blend of hand-plucked Cornish Tea from Tregothnan and the finest Assam Tea from India. This tea is dairy-free, gluten-free, and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Brewing instruction

Use filtered or bottled water just off the boil, and brew for 3-4 minutes. Whole leaves take a little longer to brew, but the short wait is well worth it. Classic Tea can be served with or without milk and sweetened with honey or sugar to taste. Classic Tea is the first-ever tea produced on British soil in 2005, which makes it our longest-serving tea blend.

Classic Loose Leaf Tea

The Classic Tea is so good, we do not like strong tea so this Tea is perfect for my Husband and me. Lovely flavour easy to drink, just a delight and being abe to buy UK Tea is an added bonus. This also works so well in your Teapot.

Taste sensation

Tregothnan Classic tea tastes so fresh and reviving , just as delicious brewed in the hard water of my Suffolk home as It was in the Soft Cornish water….which is Lucky as brought several tins home from my holiday as presents.😃
I have also bought more online since then too ..so far every blend has been popular with the family , especially Spifire, Manuka And Smoked Earl Gray, & English Breakfast. .My personal favourites being this Classic blend and the Green tea.
Tregothnan teas are a taste sensation ..I have not been paid or Bribed to pen this

Arrived very quickly, good service.
Not had chance to try it, but it looks good. Would be good if they could offer a bigger size caddie too.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
