Quintessentially British Afternoon Tea Pyramids with a delicately refreshing taste with invigorating citrus undertones. We think these Afternoon Tea pyramids are best savoured around 3pm (with a Cornish cream tea, of course!) – but it is equally as delicious at any time of the day

Ingredients

Light and exotic blend of unique hand-plucked leaves from our Cornish estate with the finest tea from Darjeeling (Tregothnan’s twin). This tea is dairy-free, gluten-free, and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Brewing instructions

Use filtered or bottled water just off the boil, and brew for 3-4 minutes. Whole leaves take a little longer to brew, but the short wait is well worth it.
Afternoon Tea can easily be overwhelmed by milk. If you are not used to drinking your tea ‘black’, do try it – you will be surprised by the difference.

Tea pyramids

Our innovative loose leaf English Breakfast Pyramids contain our unique loose leaf teas in biodegradable silken tea pouches. The pouches are made from cornstarch and are 100% biodegradable and plastic-free

Perfection

This Afternoon tea is of a mild flavour and the pyramid bags are suitable for two cups. The tea has been of a consistent quality over the years and has turned me into a tea drinker from an only coffee drinker.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
