100 Sachets (foil wrapped)

A light and exotic blend of hand-plucked Cornish Tea from Tregothnan and the finest Darjeeling Tea (Tregothnan’s twin) from the gardens of India, renowned for creating ‘the champagne of teas’. Our Afternoon Tea Sachets are quintessentially British, our Afternoon Tea is delicately refreshing with invigorating citrus notes.

We think this brew is best savoured around 3pm (with a Cornish cream tea, of course!) – but it is equally as delicious at any time of the day.
How true these words from Henry James are: “There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea” – Portrait of a Lady.

Brewing Instructions

For perfect brewing, use filtered or bottled water just off the boil. Brew for 2 to 4 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea – we recommend 3 minutes of steeping time before tasting. Afternoon Tea can easily be overwhelmed by milk. If you are not used to drinking your tea ‘black’, do try it – you will be surprised by the difference.
For our loyal Afternoon tea fans, this is a bag of 100 foil-wrapped sachets.

Excellent taste, just remember to add only a dash of milk!

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
