Raspberry leaf.

Caffeine-free and rich in antioxidants, raspberry-leaf infusion can be made with fresh or dried leaves. Raspberry is a popular addition to red-berry infusions and you can make one with fresh berries. Also pleasing as an iced drink, it tends to be light in flavour and many add herbs, such as peppermint. Infusions of raspberries, rather than the leaves, are usually considered safe to drink in pregnancy, but the leaf tea is only recommended from week 32. There are potential benefits in supporting uterine health and preparing the body for childbirth, but it's important to consult a registered healthcare provider before consuming this or any herbal remedies during pregnancy.

How to serve

A couple of whole leaves will steep in a teapot at 85°C, enough for two cups of a full-bodied, fruity infusion with hints of Earl Grey.
