Fortnum & Mason Rose Pouchong

I am often asked to blend real roses into
tea and it is visually appealing, but Fortnum & Mason has gone further with this delicious, fine-grade, large-leaf Mao Feng Keemun—a fine black tea from China.

The intense rose flavour is balanced with the dark chocolate and caramel sweetness of the tea base. The pyramid bags can hold whole leaves rather than the small-cut tea in regular teabags.

This makes a difference to the quality, because whole-leat tea has more flavour and complexity.

How to serve

Prepare the tea in a clear glass teapot to showcase its beautiful colour and pair with chocolate-dipped strawberries for a romantic tea time. For extra sweetness, add either a teaspoon of honey or a touch of vanilla.
