A sea of pink which can be seen at The UK’s Largest Open Garden Weekend

This April on the 21st and 22nd we will host The UK’s Largest Open Garden Weekend and we have our sights set on breaking a new record this year. In 2017 we set the bar high by raising a huge sum of £50,000 for St. Petroc’s Society for the homeless people in Cornwall. This year we will aim to beat this record and donate the most ever money raised for a charity during an open garden event.

In order to make this year a record-breaking event, we need your help!

By attending our Open Garden Weekend, you will not only be supporting an exceptional charity but you will have the unique opportunity to explore 100 acres of botanical paradise and see first-hand the UK’s first tea plantation home of the Most British Tea in History.

This year our usually private gardens will open their gates to the public in support of the Merlin MS Centre near St.Austell. The Centre is an essential source of relief for people living with neurological conditions like Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and those recovering from Strokes.

The Merlin staff are dedicated to supporting their clients, providing a positive and social experience to give their clients a much-improved way of life. Plans to build a new hydrotherapy pool will offer a vital new therapy otherwise unavailable in Cornwall. To learn more about this exceptional cause please click here.

The magnificent Himalayan Valley where you will find one of our pioneering tea gardens

Looking across one of Tregothnan’s tea plantations you will see a Chinese pagoda engulfed in pink and red Rhododendrons. April is the perfect time of year to see the Tregothnan garden full of colourful blooms.

Not only will you be granted access to this unique and usually private garden but you will be able to indulge in the finest Cornish produce, from BBQ’s to cream teas – and of course the most British tea in history!

With visitors from far and wide travelling to experience the wonders of these gardens make sure you don’t miss out this year! The perfect family day out, children under 16 go free and dogs on leads are also welcome!

Make sure you save the date for this year’s Charity Garden Opening and be a part of this record-breaking event!
