One of Tregothnan’s best-selling infusions, this tisane is made from cut Lemon Verbena leaves to give a wonderfully rich lemon scent and piquant taste when infused.

Lemon verbena tea benefits

This infusion’s many reported health benefits include its working as an antidepressant, expectorant, nerve tonic, and digestive aid. Tregothnan make no such medical claims however, we do urge you to enjoy its zingy zestful flavour. The perfect after-dinner digestive, Lemon Verbena can also be added to other teas to add a hint of lemon and a subtly sweet, spicy bite.

Ingredients

Pure English lemon verbena, grown in Cornwall on the Tregothnan estate. This tisane is naturally caffeine-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Brewing instructions

Infuse for 3 to 5 minutes depending on how strong you like your tea – we recommend at least 4 minutes of infusion time before pouring. For a stronger flavour, the tea sachet can remain in the cup as you drink your brew.
Lemon Verbena should be served without milk and can be sweetened with sugar or honey.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
