Lizard Honey

Born in the heart of a Designated Special Area of Conservation, this honey captures the vibrant essence of The Lizard Peninsula. The key to its unique flavour is the dominant Cornish Heath (Erica vagans), thriving naturally on the heathlands. This honey boasts a captivating blend of aromas – intense and slightly bitter, accented by red berry sweetness, a touch of fruitiness, and a subtle medicinal note.

Estate Floral Honey

A pure taste of Cornwall. Our bees gather nectar from various flowers across our mixed farm and woodland sites. In spring, enjoy the delicate notes of blackthorn, dandelion, hawthorn, and  sycamore blossoms. During summer,  experience the essence of blackberry, clover, wildflowers, and neighbouring crops like phacelia, beans, and oilseed rape. Each jar embodies the diversity of Cornwall's landscapes, offering a genuine experience of nature's harvest.

About us

Rare plants have been nurtured by the same family at Tregothnan since 1334. The first tea was grown in the UK in 1999 to put the ‘English into English Tea’ and the most British tea in history was first sold in 2005.

Now, over 26 miles of tea bushes thrive in the unique microclimate, seven miles inland and with a deep-sea creek bringing regular fog. Manuka bushes have also thrived here since the 1880’s, the first grown outside of New Zealand and producing the most delicious honey.
