DIGITAL MARKETING LEAD

Salary depending on experience

Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hrs pw

Approximately 8 miles from Truro, Cornwall

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Lead to join our team.

You will be responsible for:

  • The creation and execution of social media marketing campaigns for Tregothnan, informed by data analysis, monitoring and reporting on marketing campaigns.
  • Using Dotdigital to create email marketing campaigns; creating and developing website content and helping to advance the search engine optimisation for the website.
  • Assisting with the creation of new products to suit Tregothnan’s target audiences and uploading them to the website.
  • Ensuring online distributors market and display the brand correctly.
  • Helping to find new market gaps/channels to grow Tregothnan’s brand and expand revenue.
  • Presenting for Tregothnan at seminars, including taking the most ‘British Tea in History’ to a global market, using digital communications.
  • Suggesting opportunities to make Tregothnan products more appealing to consumers
  • Editing images in Adobe Photoshop for various channels.

You will need:

  • Marketing experience with a strong background in website design.
  • Experience in email platforms from content creation through to tracking.
  • A commercial background with an understanding of the impact of marketing on sales
  • Experience in using CRM systems
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with good time management skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently
  • Excellent written communication, presentation, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • A flexible approach to work, including a willingness to travel to and present at events/shows
  • The full UK driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location with no access to public transport.

BENCH JOINER

Salary depending on experience

Permanent, Full-time, 40 hrs pw, Mon-Fri, 7.45am-4.15pm

Approximately 8 miles from Truro, Cornwall

We have an exciting opportunity for a time served Bench Joiner, to join our small established Joinery Team at Tregothnan. You will mainly be based in the well-equipped Joinery workshop, but will also carry out on-site fitting. The Joinery produced is to a very high standard, using quality timber, fittings and finishes. The role is responsible for all aspects of joinery for the Tregothnan estate, eg doors, windows, mouldings, gates, benches, etc.

Duties include: reading drawings, producing workshop rods, setting out own work and producing cutting lists; producing high quality work, with accuracy and economical use of materials; competently fit and adjust a range of ironmongery and fittings, different types of glazing and apply a range of brush finishes.

You will need: A minimum of 5 years’ Joinery experience and be competent in all aspects of Joinery; to be highly skilled with hand tools; to be competent in operating workshop machinery and power tools; a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, to be a flexible team member and able to adapt to change; the ability to work alone and as part of a team; good communication skills and a professional attitude; and a full UK driving licence and own transport as we are in a rural location.  In addition, preferably you will have an NVQ Level 3 in Bench Joinery, Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.

GARDENER

Approximately 8 miles from Truro, Cornwall

We have an exciting opportunity for a Gardener, to join our high-profile garden in Cornwall, working alongside a small established team, providing all year gardening to private gardens that house some species that are globally rare. The garden is also home to the first tea grown in the UK for commercial production.

Duties include: lawncare and mowing; strimming; hedge trimming, pruning and chainsaw work; cultivation and weeding; pest and weed control, including spraying; path and drive maintenance and construction; watering; and landscape construction.

You will need: RHS Level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent; good plant knowledge; previous gardening experience within a team-based garden role; experience of using pedestrian mowers (eg cylinder and rotary), strimming and brush cutting; to be conscientious and have attention to detail; be hardworking, with ability to be hands-on in a physically demanding role; ability to work alone and as part of a team; good communication skills; professional attitude, polite and good levels of personal presentation;  and a full UK driving licence and own transport as we are in a rural location.

WOODSPERSON

We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Woodsperson to join our Forestry & Woodland Team, based at Tregothnan. The 600 hectares of woodlands are situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK and have been managed by the Boscawen Family since 1334.

This is a great opportunity for you to reach your full potential and development, at a very exciting time in the history of woodland management of the Estate. The work is varied and covers all aspects of woodland operations from planting, maintenance and establishment, to thinning and small-scale harvesting, in predominantly broadleaf woodland. Relevant training will be provided.

You will have: a minimum of 2 years’ experience in woodland management; the ability to demonstrate a wide range of silvicultural (the growing and cultivation of trees) skills and knowledge; and a full clean driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location, with no public transport links.

Sales Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Administrator to join our team.

You will be responsible for: managing the Sales Office including sales administration; providing an excellent service to customers, taking responsibility for responding to customer queries at first point of contact; supporting the Trading Team to proactively progress sales; and serving customers in the on-site shop.

In addition you will be responsible for the development and optimisation of the Dynamics 365 system (CRM) to include: creating email marketing lists and integrating them into Dotdigital, as well as using

the Dynamics integration with Dotdigital to send targeted emails; assisting with accounts lists for sale targeting; taking overall responsibility for CRM, keeping all information up to date, ensuring data integrity and supporting the team with using Dynamics 365; and using CRM and other tools to create dashboards, customer reports, segregation of data and report campaign results.

You will need: sales experience within a telesales/office environment, including managing diaries and sales data; front line customer service experience; administrative experience; experience of running and developing CRM; excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office; excellent written communication, presentation, interpersonal and customer service skills; highly organised, with a high degree of attention to detail and conscientious; confident and tenacious; ability to work under pressure, with good time management skills; ability to work independently using own initiative as well as part of a team; professional and mature attitude, with the ability to remain calm in a crisis and reassure others; and a full UK driving licence and own transport, as we are in a rural location with no access to public transport.

RURAL PRACTICE SURVEYOR

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Rural Practice Surveyor to join the Estate Management team at Tregothnan, where you will be given responsibility and a broad range of experience to advance your career.

Tregothnan is a private Estate, home to the Boscawen family. It is a significant entity with a large and diverse rural portfolio in Cornwall, which comprises the home farm, let farms, residential and commercial properties and minerals.

You will be responsible for the farm and commercial tenancy matters, regular property inspections (including livestock welfare), rent reviews, disputes, repairs and telecoms, wayleaves, farm scale environmental schemes and project management of small planning and development schemes across a defined geographical area within Cornwall; fostering good working relationships across the estate and tenant network; have day-to-day management responsibility for part of the substantial portfolio, and this will involve liaison and management of relationships with specialist consultants and stakeholders with support as required from the Commercial Agent.

The ideal candidate will: be an RICS qualified Rural Practice Surveyor, who has either achieved or working toward Fellowship of the CAAV; have a strong rural background ideally with experience of livestock and/or arable farming and experience of rural estate management and/or rural property management; have a positive and professional attitude, excellent communication skills, conscientious with integrity and high ethical standards, creative, a problem solver and enjoy challenges; have the ability to work alone and as part of a team; and have a full UK driving licence and own transport.

TEA PRODUCTION OPERATIVE/ENGINEER

Permanent, Full-time, 40 hrs pw, Mon-Fri (occasional weekend work)

Approximately 8 miles from Truro, Cornwall

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tea Production Operative/Engineer, to join our friendly tea production team at Tregothnan; where we grow, produce and distribute some of the world’s rarest and highest rated tea. If you like variety, are practical, hands-on and would like to be part of a growing Cornish business, this could be the ideal role for you.

Duties include: ensuring the tea machines and equipment are running to full capacity at all times; maintaining and servicing tea production machinery; understanding run requirements for tea production, planning work and producing small and large batches to meet customer orders; setting up and operating tea blending machinery, before each production run for different types of tea; and making up boxes for tea. Full training into the role will be given.

You will need: previous experience as a Production Engineer and/or Mechanical Engineer, as well as experience maintaining machinery; the ability to lift/move heavy items; a willingness to work in a warehouse; a flexible attitude to work; a high degree of attention to detail and conscientiousness; good teamwork and communication skills; a good level of planning and organisational skills; a professional attitude, polite and good levels of personal presentation; and access to transport, as we are in a rural location, with no public transport.
