Permanent, Full-time, 40 hrs pw, to be worked flexibly over a 7-day period

Approximately 8 miles from Truro, Cornwall


We have an exciting opportunity for a Chef to a private household and guests of a beautiful old Manor House, set in a wonderful rural location in Cornwall.


This is a hands-on role, which will require creative menu planning and day to day cooking for the family, producing excellent quality meals and a range of dishes; as well as for private entertainment and other large events of 100 people plus, including providing menu choices prior to events.


The Chef is responsible for the kitchens, which are to be kept immaculately clean, organised and stocked with food, including homemade food, house chutneys, baking and jams.  The Estate has a large amount of home grown produce and where possible the meals prepared should include this.


You will need: previous experience as a standalone Chef working to very high standards; to be efficient, consistent and proactive; to be organised, hardworking and conscientious; to have a flexible approach and able to work long hours during events; the ability to work alone and as part of a team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a professional attitude, polite and good levels of personal presentation; a DBS check; and own transport as we are located in a rural location.

National Sales Manager

Location: UK – role can be based anywhere in UK with expectation of travel to access target markets. Preferred location would be London/SE to readily access target market.

Background: The security and stability enjoyed working for a 700-year-old, family-owned business, is virtually unrivalled. At Tregothnan, since 1999 we have expanded a trading arm which now produces the most English tea in history. With a small and dedicated team, the business has grown to supply all sectors of the UK and over 20 international markets weathering the challenges of 2021 and 2021 through innovation and diversification.

R-Chi is a start up brand founded by Archie Boscawen who grew up on the Tregothnan estate. Combining the very best in all natural ingredients with a passion for flavour and a desire to bring innovation to the market in a sustainable manner, R-Chi is on a rapid growth trajectory gaining key listings in summer 2021.

Both brands now stand primed for explosive growth and are looking to expand the team with the appointment of an individual to head up a concerted field-based activity.


Description: Both brands are looking to increase sales in key market sectors from hospitality to independent retail.

It is envisaged that this will be a role involving significant travel, visiting prospects and accounts with time for admin as required.

The successful applicant will be able to work from home, on the road and be able to manage their time accordingly.

There will be monthly meetings in Cornwall with management from both brands to review success, targets and provide updates on product and marketing developments.

The role will require rapid actioning of leads communicated from the main office, as well as proactive identification of opportunities. It is expected that the candidate will be able to prioritise appropriately for maximum benefit and where required, will utilise support from head office.

Both brands will expect to be evenly represented but understand that certain opportunities will be single brand only or that differing priorities will be given to brands to gain access and secure accounts.

There is an expectation that the role may also involve attendance at trade shows and other events to promote the brands – including weekends occasionally.

The successful applicant will be required to use a Microsoft Dynamics based system for record keeping and other role functions. The applicant will also need a good working knowledge of Office programs and current communication platforms.

Accurate regular contact with management and owners including joint meetings.

The successful applicant will also assist in monitoring export opportunities with a view to growth of both brands overseas where relevant.

The role obviously requires a full, UK driving licence.

Full induction and training on both brands will be given at commencement and regularly throughout the role.

At this stage the brands are open to the role being full time, part time or fulfilled by a multi brand agent. The person fit for the brands and culture is more important.

Approximately 8 miles from Truro, Cornwall


We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Senior Plants Person to join a high-profile garden in Cornwall, working in our dynamic Gardening Team.


Duties and responsibilities include all aspects of plant care and vegetable production, including: propagation; planting, including house flowers; plant labelling; soil cultivation and weeding; pest and disease control; plant ordering; logging plants onto a database; and soft landscaping and designing.


You will need: RHS Level 3 or National Diploma in Horticulture; sound horticultural knowledge; gardening experience within a team-based garden role; experience in growing vegetables, following organic principles; to be organised, hardworking and conscientious; the ability to work alone; good teamwork and communication skills; a professional attitude, polite and good levels of personal presentation; and own transport as we are located in a rural location.
