Job title         Bench Joiner (Time served)

Salary              Salary Dependent on experience Location          Tregothnan Estate, Truro, Cornwall

Contract          Permanent Position.  39 Hours per week, 7.30am to 4pm (3pm on a Friday)

We are currently looking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated time served Bench Joiner to join the Tregothnan Joinery team. Tregothnan owns estates in Cornwall & Kent and the Joinery Department produces doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, gates, benches, etc for the estate. The Joinery that we produce is to a very high standard using quality timber, fittings & finishes.

The small, friendly Joinery team works mostly in the large, well equipped Joinery workshop at Tregothnan but occasionally carries out on-site fitting.

The ideal applicant will be polite, punctual, tidy, a good team member and be willing & flexible to adapt to changes. The applicant will need to be able to produce high quality work accurately and economically.

Job title         Production Assistant

Salary               £7.80- £10.50 per hour dependent on experience

Location          Tregothnan Estate, Truro, Cornwall

Contract          Permanent Position.  37.5 Hours over 7 days

With a growing number of orders we need to ensure we have the maximum output from our tea machinery and need a Tea Machine Operative to oversee production from the tea machines.

The Production Assistant will work alongside the Production Manager and Operations Manager to oversee the smooth running of the machines with maximum efficiency and output, ensuring that we are achieving production schedules and completing orders.

An understanding of machinery and the ability to provide maintenance on the tea machines, bagging, shrink wrapping, strapping, chopping and harvesting machines will be a key part of the role. Experience in setting and operating machinery is essential, alongside working with accuracy and always delivering a high standard of work.

Job title      Lead Arborist Woodsman

Salary               Relevant to experience and knowledge.

Location           Tregothnan Estate, Truro, Cornwall

Contract          Permanent Position.  39 hours per week

We are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our woodland team based at Tregothnan.  The 600 hectares of woodlands are situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the UK and have been managed by the Boscawen family since 1334.

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to fulfil their full potential and development at a very exciting period of time in the history of woodland management on the estate.

The work will be varied and cover all aspects of  arboricultural and woodland operations from large tree reductions and dismantling to small scale harvesting and also tree planting, establishment and maintenance in predominantly broadleaf woodland.

Experience in individual tree management and woodland management is essential with a minimum of 5 years experience, and the ability to demonstrate a wide range of arboricultural / silvicultural skills and knowledge.

Qualifications CS 30/31/32/ 38/39/41,  First Aid and a full clean driving licence with trailer towing preferable (but not essential) and the ability to drive a range of vehicles would be advantageous.

Housing may be available to rent on the estate.

We are very proud of our apprenticeship scheme on the Estate. In 2016 we won the Employer of the Year Award at the Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards. The scheme delivers a range of apprenticeships, each of which offers a skill in a dedicated subject area, as well as some broad employment and business skills to prepare apprentices for fulfilling careers in their chosen field. Apprentices at Tregothnan get to work with highly experienced managers and team members and have an exceptional environment in which to build their career.
