Tregothnan’s Apprentices recognised at 2018 Awards Ceremony
We are delighted to annouce that both our nominated apprentices were recognised in the Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards which took place last Friday 12th October, at Truro and Penwith College. On the evening we saw our Accounts Apprentice, Bethan Kent, win her category and our Joinery Apprentice, Sam Moore, receive a Highly Commended Award in the Construction category at the Cornwall Apprenticeship Awards.
Colleagues from across Tregothnan joined Bethan and Sam on Friday evening to offer their support and to celebrate the incredible start to both their careers. The awards ceremony was a fantastic evening to celebrate the success of apprenticeships across Cornwall.
Hosted by Truro and Penwith College the Awards were compared by Holly Day and Neil Caddy from Pirate FM, who announced the winners of the 15 Apprentice and Employer categories.
Apprenticeship Co-ordinator at Tregothnan, Claire Scholes, commented: “ I am thrilled that Bethan and Sam have been recognised. All our apprentices work hard towards their career but Sam and Bethan have gone above and beyond regularly to establish themselves in their work. Sam particularly has developed his confidence within the business and both have shown how young apprentices can be professional and passionate.”
The Tregothnan Apprenticeship programme is diverse and has much to owe to the established employees who mentor and develop our apprentices to the professionals they become.
