Tregothnan’s 1334 Smokehouse Refreshing Summer Iced Tea Recipe

 

The perfect Summer tribute to our Estate. Our 1334 Iced Tea Cocktail is a great way to spice up our traditional Earl Grey. Best served over ice and with a slice of orange or lemon to enhance that citrus Summer feel!

Ingredients –

  • 50 ml Tregothnan Smokehouse Iced Tea (See bellow for recipe)
  • 50 ml Bourbon
  • 1 tsp of Maple Syrup
  • 2 Dashes of Angostura Bitters
  • 1 Orange or Lemon Peel
  • 1 Lavender Sprig

 

Method –

  •  Pour the Tregothnan Smokehouse Iced Tea into a cocktail shaker full of ice
  • Add 50 ml of Bourbon
  • Add 2 Dashes of Angostura Bitter
  • Put on lid and shake well
  • Serve in a whisky tumbler glass with one large Ice Cube
  • Garnish with a piece of burnt Orange or Lemon Peel and a Lavender Sprig

 

Smokehouse Iced Tea

 

 

The Smokehouse Iced Tea

 

Ingredients –

  • 150ml Tregothnan Earl Grey Tea, for a more intense smoky flavour we recommend using our Cornish Smoked Manuka Earl Grey Tea
  • 20g Maple Syrup
  • 50 ml Orange Juice
  • Orange Slice
  • Sprig of Rosemary

 

Method –

  • Cold brew 150 ml of your Earl Grey or Cornish Smoked Manuka Earl Grey Tea for at least 12 hours.
  • Rack off using a fine sieve
  • Add 20g of Maple Syrup to a cocktail shaker full of ice
  • Pour over your chilled Ice Tea
  • Shake Well and pour into a glass full of crushed ice
  • Garnish with a slice of orange and sprig of rosemary
