This week we had the pleasure of attending the most prestigious charity polo event of the year; the first Global edition of Nic Roldan’s Sunset Polo.
Hosted by top American polo player, Nic Roldan, in aid of the Brooke charity for equine welfare and Chestnut Tree House Hospice, the event was held at the home of British Polo; Cowdray House.
We were delighted to be able to offer our support for this charity event. Our talented in-house florists worked tirelessly to create enormous, elegant floral displays to dress the event spaces at Cowdray House.
From beautiful arrangements for the powder room and bedroom posies to pedestal arrangements for the Main Hall, our florists battled the 30º heat to prevent the beautiful British blooms from wilting before the guests arrived.
We donated nearly 150 feet of exquisite handmade garlands, made from rare foliage from the estate and from our British growers, laced with seasonal flowers including the fleeting beauty of the British Peony. Many hours of work went into designing and creat ing these seasonal masterpieces which were an elegant reflection of the grandure of Cowdray’s Buck Hall.
We also created a foliage garland for the best polo player’s horse from the winning team, so it wasn’t only the guests who go to enjoy our floristry as the winning horse decided that our prize garland would make a delicious snack!
We also served our bespoke Sunset Polo blend of tea at the event which was especially created for the US Sunset Polo series last March. The tea is reminiscent of a Floridian sunset once brewed, the colour diffusing from the Saffron, Cardamom, Chamomile and Green teas from our estate and China. If you would like to sample this truly unique blend.
