We are inviting expressions of interest from contractors able to manage our charcoal operations in Kent, Cornwall or both. Tregothnan is the largest producer of English charcoal in the UK. We are looking for contractors to independently manage the production of charcoal. It is an all year business with stockpiling throughout the winter period. Duties include loading of retorts, burning, packing and loading/palletising of product for onward dispatch. Tregothnan can offer purchase orders to the value of 150 tonne per annum on each independent site. The estate can offer seasoned hardwood timber predominantly oak and birch for charcoal production. Charcoal contractors – UK based, franchised/licensed operations
We are looking for charcoal producers based across the UK to contract manufacture English charcoal under licence from the Tregothnan Estate. Purchase orders for 150 tonne per annum can be offered to enable initial business start-up. Expertise and advice can be provided to licensees to help ensure quality and consistency of charcoal burn. Expertise and advice can be provided to install charcoal kilns and retorts. Pre-requisite and requirement to use Tregothnan Estate FSC certified timber haulage around the UK. Tea and herbal tisane growers – internal, estate tenants only
The Tregothnan Estate is looking for tenants to grow a range of herbs under contract and licence. This is an opportunity to grow tea on Tregothnan land for the Tregothnan brand of teas. Tea is rapidly expanding and increasingly specialist teas are being cultivated on Tregothnan lands, mainly in Cornwall and Kent in the UK. If you could manage a crop of one of our tisanes on Tregothnan land then please get in touch. Small or large areas of crop will be considered and support with processing and drying will be provided. A wonderful cottage may be available within walking distance but own transport will be required for shopping and socialising. National Sales Manager
We are looking to recruit a National Sales Manager:
To increase sales revenue growth year on year and to ensure all annual sales targets are met
To increase market penetration in London and the south-east; to open new trade accounts for the wholesale and retail of tea in this region
To help identify new geographical markets in the UK and achieve tangible market penetration
To identify and tender for multiple site retail and catering contracts for tea
To secure existing business and account manage, to nurture and develop existing business relationships, to provide product training where required
To provide advice and guidance on export markets working with the managing director
To attend trade and consumer shows to help increase brand awareness, including The Speciality Fine Food Show and the Chelsea Flower Show.
To negotiate price increase and achieve margin requirements with customer base, to feed into product and price list.
To support Sales Manager and Managing Director in all other areas as required
To support product, sales and business development of other associated estate products from both Cornwall and Kent estates.

We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager to:
Increase the capacity and productivity of the commercial growing of tea and herbal tisanes on both the home estate and with estate tenants
Increase the productivity on the commercial growing of flowers and foliage on both the home estate and with estate tenants
Meet with tenants to discuss commercial growing opportunities, where appropriate.
Increase productivity of the Christmas tree field, improve cycle times and outputs, against targeted sales
Improve efficiencies in the processing and blending of tea, working with the managing director
Improve efficiencies in the production team in the picking and packing of stocks (tea and floristry), production of hand tied bouquets for retail sale packing, packing of loose tea
Manage stock holdings to avoid stock outs utilising appropriate stock control systems and responding to sales forecasting
Take responsibility for repairs, maintenance, servicing of equipment using contractors where appropriate
Responsibility for recruitment of permanent and seasonal staff, production rota management and time sheet sign-off
Working with the QA/Technical manager implement systems and procedures for H&S, Food Hygiene and SALSA certification
Take HR and personnel development responsibility for production team
Financial management/budget responsibilities
Responsibility for product costing, and subsequent reduction in cost of sales and cost of goods, working in conjunction with the sales manager in margin management
Management of existing suppliers, identifying and sourcing new suppliers, take responsibility all flower buying and stock control
Purchase order sign-off on production items and purchases, managing to budget and producing production budget in line with company requirements

Garden Sales Person
We are looking to recruit a sales person to conduct private garden visits of the Tregothnan Estate. The role will involve serving cream teas to guests and upselling retail products in the shop. We are looking for someone with a passion for tea, gardens and horticulture. We are looking for someone that can improve the whole visitor experience and capitalise on sales opportunities for the estate. Please contact us for more information.
We are currently recruiting cleaners for our holiday accommodation. Changeover days are Friday or Saturday with cleaning times allocated between 10am – 4pm. We would anticipate properties to take between 4 – 6 hours to clean on any given day. Immediate starts available. We are looking for casual staff to work attending a range of shows, events and exhibitions promoting and selling our products, predominantly shows based in London including Chelsea Flower Show, BBC Gardeners World, BBC Good Food Show, Real Food Festival, and Hampton Court Flower Show.
