21st April 2011
Cornwall and cream teas... you can't have one without the other! Enjoy the ultimate cream tea at Smugglers this summer.
Enjoying spectacular views of the river Fal, Smugglers is one of the most beautiful and recognisable landmarks in Cornwall. Overlooked by Tregothnan house, you can sample the ony tea grown in England in sight of the tea plantation itself.
Smugglers has now re-opened for the season following further refurbishment and offers a brand new menu. Enjoy a delicious cream tea as you watch the river roll past and learn more about the historic significance of this beautiful location which played such an important role during the second world war.
You can reach Smugglers at Tolverne by car, foot, sail, peddle or paddle. When you take the King Harry Ferry from Trelissick (running from April 22nd) getting here is just the start or your adventure.
